Performing Arts Center-Concord
51 Walden St, Concord, Massachusetts 01742
Balkan Music Night is a vibrant celebration of the rich musical traditions of the Balkans, and an immersive experience in music, dance, culture, and community. Since 1986, several hundred Balkan enthusiasts of all backgrounds have gathered annually in the Boston area to revel in the exciting rhythms and soulful melodies of Bulgaria, Macedonia, Greece, Albania, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Romania, Turkey, and more. Whether you prefer to dance all evening in the dance hall or enjoy gorgeous melodies in the kefana, join us for a wonderful night!
"We have quite a lineup of musicians playing music from the Balkans - and we are happy to offer a lot of Bulgarian music (and dance) this year!
Accordionist Ivan Milev will headline the event, playing with violinist Entcho Todorov, plus Elitsa Stoyneva returns to sing her hauntingly beautiful songs, with a small group - Rucheya. And Ludo Mlado dance ensamble will perform a dance set! In all, there will be twelve different bands playing for dancing
and listening enjoyment! "
